Riding Lessons
BAR Stables offers riding lessons to ages 4 and up. We teach complete beginners to advanced riders in the Saddle Seat or Western riding style. We start all new riders with private lessons. Once the instructor feels like they show the necessary skills and have control of the horse they can be moved to a group lesson.
Riders must wear a helmet and shoes with a heal while riding.
Academy Horse Shows
Rider's also have the opportunity to compete at Academy horse shows. This allows riders to travel to competitions and compete on BAR Stables lesson horses in a relaxed atmosphere. Going to Academy Shows is a great way to show off your skills you have learned, but it is also an opportunity to find out what showing can be like! Students become more like family to each other and bonds are created that last a lifetime. Academy competitions give students a goal to work towards, and usually encourages them to focus better in their lessons at home.
Little Riders Lessons
These private lessons are for riders ages 4-7. The lesson time slot is 60 minutes long (15 minutes getting the horse ready, 30 minutes riding time, and 15 minutes putting the horse away). The Lesson incorporates simplified horsemanship skill sets while keeping the child's interest with unique riding games. Once a "Little Rider" learns the ropes, they move into a Group Lesson. We love teaching the Little Riders!
$50 per lesson
Private Lessons
Private lessons are offered to ages 7 & up. These lesson time slots are 60 minutes long (15 minutes getting the horse ready, 30 minutes riding time, and 15 minutes putting the horse away). They are focused on riders' individual goals. Private lessons are a great way to level up when preparing for a competition and receive one-on-one instruction.

Group Lessons
Group lessons are for riders 7 & up who are able to control their horse around others. These lessons are 60 minutes long (15 minutes getting the horse ready, 30 minutes riding time, and 15 minutes putting the horse away). Group lessons give riders experience in teamwork and are awesome for preparing riders to handle a horse show setting. Riders always enjoy the company of their peers, especially when it's on horseback!
